Introduction

This issue focussed on football, however as always it had a Japanese twist, with J-League extremely popular in Japan at the time. They previewed Sensible Soccer and Empire soccer amongst other games, and raved about Sensible Soccer. Virtual Soccer also got a UK release scoring 87% and Prime Goal from Japan scored 75%.

Also reviewed this month was Jurassic Park, with the film tie in scoring 89%. There were also a couple of decent platformers released in the UK, with Aero the Acrobat scoring 84 and Mr Nuts scoring 86%. There were plenty of games reviewed in time for Christmas, with nearly 20 games featured.

In the news this month project reality (aka the N64) got the first mention, as the magazine looked at the graphics chip that was to be included - and had an interview with Steve Webb who was the UK Marketing Manager of Silicon Graphics who were behind the chip.. Fantasy Quest looked at Holy Sword Legend 2 and Madara 2. There was also a look at Year Zero in Anime World.

There was the second part of the Mario Collection guide, covering both the Japanese and US versions of Mario Bros 2. Jason returned to Gamefreak, with another couple of pages of Q&A’s on the latest games as well as hardware tips. What Cart’s classic this month was the individual Super Parodious.
