Introduction

Issue 33 was the tale of two RPGs, one you might never have heard of, while the other is now the most profitable gaming franchise in the world.

Hybrid Heaven was the cover story for this issue, with another of Will Overton's beautiful covers. The game got 83%, just short of the Star game award. Elsewhere there were plenty of other games reviewed, including Michael Owens World League Soccer and the Japanese version of ISS millennium.

Of course the other game this month was Pokemon as Red and Blue were finally released on Game Boy. The team went over the basics of the game, and even had some tips for getting through the game. This of course would only be the start of coverage in the magazine.

Previews this issue covered some of the big games coming for Christmas, such as Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark (still scheduled for December) and Turok Rage Wars. They also had the first pictures of Zelda gaiden, which was to become Majora's Mask.
